Goalkeeper Swap Could Be on Horizon for Villa Women
Leat Linked with Summer Move from West Ham
Aston Villa goalkeeper Hannah Hampton is playing at the top of the game she's just celebrated her 28th birthday.
The shot-stopper has been in impressive form for the Villans this season, keeping eight clean sheets in 15 appearances.
But according to reports, Villa are lining up a move for West Ham goalkeeper Anna Leat when the transfer window reopens this summer.
Leat, 23, is a New Zealand international who has been capped 10 times by her country. She has also played for Arsenal and Birmingham City in the Women's Super League.
It is believed that Villa are keen to sign Leat as a long-term replacement for Hampton, who is entering the final year of her contract.
Leat is a highly-rated goalkeeper who has been praised for her shot-stopping ability and distribution. She would be a valuable addition to the Villa squad and could help them challenge for a top-half finish next season.
